A big fan of Aishwarya Rai Bachhan and Esha Deol, Priyanka, if given opportunity, would love to be cast opposite Varun Dhawan. “While Varun Dhawan is my favorite, it would be my honor to work with anyone from Bollywood,” she added.2016-09-07-PHOTO-00000596

Priyanka Yoshikawa, whose father is Indian and mother Japanese, lived in Kolkata for a year when she was 9 years old. “India is a beautiful country and I wish to visit as many places there as possible” she says.

Although Priyanka was interested in modeling right from childhood, Miss World was her first major International beauty contest. “While I was the only mixed race contestant or “haffu” (a term used in Japan for mixed race), I did not face any difficulties or discrimination. “Infact it is my honor to be the first “haffu” to be crowned Miss Japan,” says Priyanka.

Priyanka will now be representing Japan at the Miss World contest in Washington in December this year.
